Make Your Kids Drawings Come To Life With Ai!

Hey there, Ai curious parent(s)!

Are you ready for some tech-fueled Ai magic that your kids can use? Gather 'round because we have the inside scoop on something that’s going to make your jaws drop!

I spoke about this tool before on Daddy Ai, but it got such a good response I wanted to write about it again for all our new subscribers!

We've all daydreamed as a kid (or maybe now as an adult, don’t worry I’m not judging) about our sketches leaping off the paper and dancing around, haven't we? Picture a dragon your kid has drawn, flapping its wings and breathing fire, or a superhero soaring high, and flying off the paper. It might have sounded like a fantasy, but Meta (Facebook) has turned this dream into reality with their new tool called Animated Drawings!

It's like your kid's personal magic wand, turning 2D drawings into fabulous animations. Your child's sun can now shine brighter, and their trees can sway, all with a touch of Ai magic. And those sketches can now do some hopping around, dancing, adding a pinch of life to them.

How Does It Work?

You may say, “Wait a minute Tommy, this sounds complicated and time consuming. Don’t you know I have to take one kid to soccer practice and the other to dance all while trying to figure out what I am going to cook for dinner? And lunches, what about school lunches Tommy!? Are you going to make my kids lunches for me!?” 👀 But that’s real, who has time!?

Don’t worry I hear you loud and clear. You will be able to help your kid get started on their first or one of their first Ai projects ever and it shouldn’t take you any longer than 15 minutes. Annnnd you become even more of a super parent because now you are getting your kid’s feet wet in the wonderful realm of Ai! Now doesn’t that sound awesome?

Choose Your Art

Before anything else, it all starts with creativity. Whether it's your little one's sketch of a wobbly elephant, a sun with big bright sunglasses, or even a rocket ship with flaming boosters, that piece of art is the ticket to our animated journey. So, sift through those pages, pinboards, or wherever you've proudly showcased their masterpieces and pick your favorite. The sky’s the limit!

Step 1: The Quick Click and Upload

Once you've got that beautiful doodle in hand, it's upload time! Navigate to Animated Drawings. You'll find an option to upload an image. It's just like adding a photo to an email or posting a pic on social media. Click on it, find the drawing on your device, and select 'Upload'. The platform is designed with simplicity in mind, ensuring users of all ages can interact without a hitch. No complicated settings, no jargon - just a straightforward upload button.

Step 2: Finding The Character

This step is simply asking you to put the box around the character or thing you want to animate. This allows the Ai to identify what it is you want to have dance or fly off the page like a super hero!

Step 3: Separate The Character Or Drawing Parts

Yes, that title sounds confusing but if you follow along in Animated Drawings after you upload the drawing, this will make sense to you. If there is a part of the drawing that is not highlighted, you will then want to highlight it so the Ai knows that it is part of the drawing. “Tommy! But my kid’s school lunches!” Don’t worry I hear you. You will have plenty of time to make your kids school lunches after this project.

Step 4: Finding Characters Joints

In this step, you will draw/mark the areas where you want the drawing to move. Don't worry, this step sometimes is done for you.

Step 5: Add Animation

Now this is the super super fun part!

You can make your character dance, hop, jump, walk, and many other fun movements. This thing is great!

Privacy First: No Strings Attached

The best part? You don't need a Facebook account or any special login. And guess what? They respect your privacy big time.

When you upload the drawing, they keep it for just a short while. If you decide not to contribute to their public dataset, they delete it forever and ever.

You can download the animated creation and even share it on social media platforms. But always remember, if you share it somewhere else, that platform’s privacy rules apply.
