Ai Product Manager
I used to be the head of product at a Saas company, but at that point in time there wasn’t a ton of Ai being used in the companies workflows. However, I did help integrate GPT-3 (OpenAI’s Older Model) into one of our tools. So I guess you could have called me an Ai product manager too. 😃
Ai Product Managers blend cool ideas with real-world fixes to craft awesome Ai products and tools that everyone loves to use. Their job is like being a mix of a scientist and an inventor, but also figuring out how to make digital products that people can use every day. They make sure that every new invention isn’t just a cool thought but something that can really help people and make a difference in the world.
So, what’s their day like? Imagine being the captain of a ship with a crew of engineers, designers, and data scientists, all working together to create amazing digital products. They make a place where everyone’s ideas can grow and become real, innovative solutions. The Ai Product Managers keep everything on track, making sure that the products are user friendly and top notch.
Ai Product Managers are the dreamers and the doers of the Ai world. They turn the wildest, most fantastic ideas into digital products we can use in our daily lives, such as ChatGPT and many other Ai tools. They are the builders of tomorrow, creating a future where Ai helps us in our everyday lives and makes the world a whole lot more fun and exciting.

They’re the ones making sure that the Ai technology we use is fair, unbiased, responsible, and respects everyone’s privacy.
These specialists lay down the law, creating rules and best practices to make sure Ai behaves! They team up with other Ai experts like language model trainers, NLP engineers, cybersecurity wizards, and prompt engineers to spot and fix any biases or risky bits in the training data and the results the models produce. They’re like the Guardians of the Galaxy, but for Ai, kind of. “I am Groot!”. Sorry I got carried away. I love Guardians! But they ensure that every bit and byte adheres to all the legal rules and industry standards, making everything transparent and ethical.
Now, these roles can be pretty hands-on tech-wise, getting down and dirty with the development, or they might be more like advisors, keeping an eye on everything. It all depends on where they work.

What To Learn🧠
You may be saying to yourself, “That’s great Tommy, but where the heck should my kid start dude!?”
By far and large I would recommend for your kids to start learning a programming language. The main programming languages they should learn are Python, and or Mojo. Out of these two, I would first start learning Python.
There are programming languages such as R, Java and C++ but start with Python.
Other areas they should start learning are Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision. Have your kids look into each one to see the applications for each of these technologies. Whichever one they gravitate towards, go for that one first.
If your college is not offering Ai courses have them take the following classes:
Computer Science
Statistics
Mathematics
Engineering
Data Science
Information Technology
Probability
Calculus
Algebra
Statistics
Below are some online platforms that offer courses in Ai and everything else I have mentioned above. Udemy and Coursea tend to have the best courses from what I have seen thus far. They are always adding new courses that stay up to date with how fast technology is moving.
The certification courses from the specific companies and schools below are always a quick win too. You can’t go wrong with any of the ones I listed.
Certifications and Courses:
Online Platforms:
Coursera
Udemy
edX
Khan Academy
Certifications:
Google AI Certification
IBM Data Science Professional Certificate
Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate
MIT Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Certification
